Clearing Browser Cache and Cookies
Issue
You are encountering issues with your web browser (Google Chrome or Firefox) or encountering issues while using Gorgias or Shopify.
Solutions
Follow these steps below to resolve issues related to your web browser, Gorgias or Shopify:
- Re-open your web browser. Close and re-open the web browser (e.g. Google Chrome, Firefox) that you are currently using.
- If the above step does not help, clear your web browser cache and cookies - see the steps below on how to clear cache and cookies on Google Chrome and Firefox.
Google Chrome
- To clear your cache on Google Chrome (see the next section for Firefox), click on the 3 vertical dots on the top-right of Google Chrome.
- Hover your mouse cursor on “More Tools” then under “More Tools” click “Clear browsing data”.
- The settings tab should have opened along with a “Clear browser data” window. In this window, go to the “Advanced” section, then make sure the following are checked: Browsing history, Download history, Cookies and other site data, and Cached images and files, and that Time range is set to “All time”. Once these 4 options have been selected, click on the ‘Clear Data’ button then wait 1-2 minutes for Google Chrome to clear everything.
- Close and re-open Google Chrome.
Firefox
To clear your cache and cookies from Firefox, follow the steps below:
- Click on the 3 horizontal lines on the top-right of Firefox, then click on “Options”.
- The options tab will have opened. Navigate to the “Privacy & Security” tab on the left-hand side then under the “Cookies and Site Data” section click on the “Clear Data” button.
- The “Clear Data” window will appear, make sure the two options: “Cookies and Site Data” and “Cached Web Content” are checked. Then click on the “Clear” button.
